Get Involved – Volunteer at Sonoma Charter School

Volunteers help us provide more opportunities for our students and are a fun and easy way to get involved with Sonoma Charter School.  

Your contribution to the school community is important and valued, and together we can help Sonoma Charter School provide more and better opportunities for our students. Parents are asked to volunteer at least 36 hours per family per school year.

Volunteer Opportunity List

At the beginning of each school week, we email out a current list of volunteer needs. If you are a parent at SCS and aren't receiving these emails, please join our mailing list via the form below. 

Do you have a project or event you are organizing at SCS and need some assistance? Email the details of your volunteer request to volunteer@sonomacharterschool.org. Items received by Friday will be sent out in the following week's email. Please include when volunteers are needed (date & time), who volunteers should contact, and as many details as possible.

Logging Volunteer Time

SCS asks that all parents track their time and enter it into the online tracking system. Keeping a complete log of parent volunteer hours helps the school be aware of how and when volunteer time is being used and allows us to be eligible for specific grants that require parent participation in the school. Starting in school year 2011-2012, logging volunteer hours will be required.
